The beach is part of the Ionian coastline and is one of the most popular locations for tourists and locals.<\/p>\n<h2>How to get to Punta della Suina<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Reaching it is quite easy if you travel by car, but if you cannot travel to Salento by car, you can reach Punta della Suina by public transport<\/strong>, such as by train and by bus. The journey is certainly longer, but it is still doable.<\/p>\n<h3>How to reach Punta della Suina by car<\/h3>\n<p>To <strong>get to Punta della Suina by car from Lecce<\/strong>, just follow the signs for Gallipoli: take the SS101 towards the Strada Provinciale 323 in Gallipoli. Take the Lidi di Gallipoli exit from SS274 and finally take the SP239 to Punta della Suina. Most car parks are charged at a single rate for the whole day, but if you arrive early in the morning you can park your car in some free areas.<\/p>\n<h2>Punta della Suina beach in Gallipoli<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>beach in Punta della Suina<\/strong> is characterised by a low, sandy shoreline dotted with small rocks that skim the water. The beach is a succession of coves with fine, light-coloured sand and stretches where low rocks take over.<\/p>\n<p>The water is a surreal turquoise, clear and crystalline, especially when the sirocco blows, unlike other beaches on the Ionian Sea. When the tramontana blows, however, it tends to get choppy and dirty with seaweed. In the <strong>bay of Punta della Suina<\/strong>, there are several free areas, but there is no shortage of beach clubs and beach resorts, which provide every comfort.
